The Natoma Tigers lost against the Lincoln Leopards back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Natoma lost to Lincoln at home by a decisive 45-30 margin. Natoma has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Natoma saw an underclassman step up: Lillian Carter dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Carter hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games. Caylie Lyle was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Natoma has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Lincoln, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Natoma will square off against Plainville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Plainville comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Lincoln, they will head out on the road to square off against Stockton on Tuesday.
