Basketball Recap: Bishop Mcguinness Piles Up the Points Against Wilson Prep Academy + How To Watch

Bishop McGuinness not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 25th (when they won 73-25). They claimed a resounding 67-32 victory over the Wilson Prep Academy Tigers. With the Villains ahead 40-16 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

It was another big night for Claire Sullivan, who shot 69% from the field en route to 21 points in addition to eight boards and six assists. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 45.3% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Moore, who went 6-for-15 on her way to 16 points and three steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Bishop McGuinness was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wilson Prep Academy only racked up seven.

Wilson Prep Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was MyAngel Brimage, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. Brimage has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last five times she's played. Paris Best was another key player, putting up 13 points.

The win made it two in a row for Bishop McGuinness and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points over those games. As for Wilson Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Bishop McGuinness has already played their next game, a 54-17 win against Albemarle on the 4th. As for Wilson Prep Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rocky Mount at 1:00 p.m. on the 13th.
