South Robeson had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. It was close but no cigar for South Robeson as they fell 20-22 to Union on Friday. If South Robeson were expecting payback for the 6-32 loss against Union the last time the teams met, then they were shortchanged.
The defeat started South Robeson out at 0-1 for the season. The win got Union back to even at 1-1.
Next week, South Robeson take on Lake View at 7:30 PM. As for Union, they will face of against Pender.
