The Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-35 win over Atlantic Collegiate Academy.
Legion Collegiate Academy found their leader in underclassman Amelia Williams, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Williams pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Graney, who scored 17 points.
Legion Collegiate Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Atlantic Collegiate Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing 1 of 1 Academy Red the next time they take the court. Legion Collegiate Academy will host 1 of 1 Academy Red at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Atlantic Collegiate Academy will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
