The Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes will square off against the Horn Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Horn's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Duncanville hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. Duncanville never let Lancaster get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Wednesday. Duncanville's victory was all the more impressive since the Tigers were averaging only 3.85 runs allowed on the season.

Madison Lee was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacie Patterson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Julisel Favela was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Duncanville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lancaster only posted a batting average of .056.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Horn, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 21-0 margin over DeSoto on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Jaguars needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.
Like Duncanville, Horn also got a great game from a two-way player: McKinlee Hinton. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hinton was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Jasmine Uribe was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Becerra, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Horn has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8-1 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.5 runs. Duncanville's win bumped their record up to 14-2-1.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Duncanville has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .535. However, it's not like Horn struggles in that department as they've averaged .440. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
