Fort LeBoeuf typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Farrell proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the Fort LeBoeuf Bison with a 67-61 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Steelers, who have now won five games in a row.
Several Bison players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hunter Villa, who went 7-for-13 on his way to 16 points and eight boards. Villa has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Carson Papay was another key player, going 5-for-12 en route to 17 points.
The win got Farrell back to even at 10-10. As for Fort LeBoeuf, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-4.
Looking ahead, Farrell will challenge Cathedral Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Farrell knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Cathedral Prep likes a good challenge. Fort LeBoeuf does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
