Meanwhile, Cheyenne scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 70-22 victory over Eldorado. The victory was just what Cheyenne needed coming off of a 71-34 loss in their prior matchup.
Tariyh Turner and Nita Franklin were among the main playmakers for Cheyenne as the former scored 18 points along with six rebounds and the latter scored 18 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Turner has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ananda Jackson, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Somerset Academy Losee's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6. As for Cheyenne, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Somerset Academy Losee have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 26.3 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Cheyenne, though, as they've been averaging only 30 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
