The Jupiter Christian Eagles suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Westwood, falling 72-44. Jupiter Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Jupiter Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ryan Deaver. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Deaver has scored all season. Andrew Stanek was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Westwood found their leader in underclassman Jordan Crutchfield, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Crutchfield hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquan Burgess, who scored 17 points.
Jupiter Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Westwood, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
Jupiter Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Boca Raton Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Westwood will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Pine at 3:00 p.m. on January 15th.
