Hudson is a perfect 7-0 against Assabet Valley RVT since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Hawks will look to defend their home field against the Aztecs at 4:00 p.m. Hudson will be strutting in after a win while Assabet Valley RVT will be coming in after a defeat.
Hudson took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past North Middlesex Regional 9-3. That looming 9-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hawks yet this season.

Jake Attaway was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Caelen O'Brien was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Anthony Moura was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Hudson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Assabet Valley RVT was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-6 to Douglas.
Assabet Valley RVT's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Hudson, they moved to 6-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Hudson has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Assabet Valley RVT struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Hudson was able to grind out a solid win over Assabet Valley RVT in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 7-2. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Aztecs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
