Quantico waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 22-8 margin over Varsity Opponent. Considering the Warriors have won four contests by more than 11 runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Sydney Greene was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Quantico got a massive performance out of Alicya Talla, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Talla is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Stella Bartra, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Quantico was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .724. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Quantico now has a winning record of 4-3.
