MaxPreps is proud to name the 2013 California Division I All-State Teams.

Jake Browning of Folsom had a record-setting performance in 2013, but it's only a prelude of what's to come.
Only a junior, Browning will likely set every career passing record in California history by the time he's done and possibly take down a few national records as well. In leading Folsom to back-to-back Open Division NorCal playoff games, Browning has thrown for 10,985 yards and 138 touchdowns, including a state record 75 touchdowns, according to Cal-Hi Sports, in 2013.
Named the All-NorCal Player of the Year, The Sacramento Metro Player of the Year (by the Sacramento Bee), the Gatorade State Player of the Year and the Maxpreps National Junior Player of the Year, Browning has also been named as the MaxPreps Division I State Player of the Year.
Meanwhile, Jason Negro of St. John Bosco is the Division I Coach of the Year. Already named the MaxPreps National Coach of the Year, Negro is an easy choice after leading St. John Bosco to an Open Division State Bowl Game win over De La Salle. Negro's team went 16-0 and also beat the likes of Mater Dei (twice), Centennial (Corona) and Alemany. Bosco's 20-14 win over De La Salle was the only contest during the season where a team came within two touchdowns of the champions.
Negro's talented squad also dominated the all-state teams, placing eight players on the first and second teams combined.
The MaxPreps California Division I All-state Football Teams consist of players from squads that played in the CIF State Division I Bowl Game enrollment divisions.
