Volleyball Recap: Holland's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After a string of three wins, Holland's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Marlin Bulldogs. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Holland was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Marlin work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 26-24.

Holland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Marlin, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Holland will face off against Grace Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Holland surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marlin, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 0-0 victory against Hubbard on the 16th.
