The Tavares Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against South Lake, falling 57-19. Tavares has struggled against South Lake recently, as their game on Monday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
South Lake got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aniyah Wilmore out in front who scored ten points along with eight assists and six steals. Wilmore set a new season high mark in points with ten. Jazmine Monroe was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Tavares' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for South Lake, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tavares will take on South Sumter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
