The Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Bishop Ireton Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
In what's become a running theme this season, Our Lady of Good Counsel gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They claimed a resounding 71-43 win over The Academy of the Holy Cross on the road. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Our Lady of Good Counsel just coasted through the last quarter.
Meanwhile, Bishop Ireton entered their tilt with Elizabeth Seton with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Bishop Ireton came out on top against Elizabeth Seton by a score of 71-60 on Monday.
It was another big night for Nyla Brooks, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 18 or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Desirae Ashton, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Our Lady of Good Counsel and bumps their season record up to 12-8. As for Bishop Ireton, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-7.
Our Lady of Good Counsel skirted past Bishop Ireton 69-66 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Our Lady of Good Counsel since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
