Ridgedale took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Elgin, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rockets had just enough and edged out the Comets 6-5. The win was nothing new for the Rockets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Ridgedale saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Mawer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Mawer has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Ridgedale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in three consecutive games.

Ridgedale's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-8. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Elgin, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgedale will welcome Arlington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elgin, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Hardin Northern at 5:00 p.m.
