Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while the Red Devils are ranked 398th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Pike County better keep an eye on Jaden Young. She was instrumental in Morgan County's win, going 5 of 8 en route to 14 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Young is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cydney Burke, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 13 points and seven boards.
Morgan County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for Pike County, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Pike County has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.5 rebounds per game.
