The Diller-Odell Griffin's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight defeat. Their rough 50-30 defeat to Southern might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Diller-Odell in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost nine in a row.
Diller-Odell's loss came despite strong showings from Jack Phillips and Cooper Morgan. Phillips scored nine points, while Morgan scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Diller-Odell has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Southern, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Diller-Odell will take on the Tigers at TBD on Tuesday. Falls City is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Southern, they will be playing at home against the Tigers on Tuesday. Hopefully Lewiston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Friday.
