Even though String Theory have not done well against the Olney Trojans recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. String Theory came out on top against Olney by a score of 62-54. This was payback for String Theory, who suffered a 56-37 loss the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Jason Pezzetti, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. He also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Justus Robertson, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
String Theory's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Olney, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
String Theory will head out on the road to face off against Penncrest at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Penncrest presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than String Theory in Pennsylvania (Penncrest is ranked 95th, while String Theory is ranked 377th). Olney won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Varsity Opponent at 6:45 p.m. on December 8th. Varsity Opponent has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 6.
