Baseball Recap: Avoca Central Wins Going Away Against Andover

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arkport Central, Avoca Central was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Andover Panthers with a sharp 12-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three games by six runs or more so far this season.

Avoca Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Andover, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Avoca Central will venture away from home to take on Addison at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Andover, they will head out on the road to challenge Bolivar-Richburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
