Horicon's game  last Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They blew past the Hustisford Falcons 3-0. The  contest marked the Marshmen's most dominant  win of the  season so far.
 While Horicon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13,  25-23.

Horicon found their leader in freshman  Leah Holl, who  had nine  digs and three  aces. Those three  aces set a new season-high mark for  Holl.  Azelyn Heller also deserves some recognition as  she  served her first  ace of the season.
 Horicon  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with ten  aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hustisford only  served four  aces.
 Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Layla Thimm, who  had 15  digs, two  blocks,  and two  aces. The team also got some help courtesy of  Hailey Pieper, who  had 21  digs.
Horicon has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record  this season. As for Hustisford,  they are  on  a  ten-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Horicon will  take on  rival Wayland Academy  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hustisford is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Dodgeland  at 7:15  p.m.  on Thursday.
