Brookville is 8-2 against National Trail since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Brookville Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the National Trail Blazers at 7:15 p.m. Hopefully Brookville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
Brookville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener. They walked away with a 64-54 victory over Carlisle.
Brookville's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Cole Crabtree, who scored 18 points, and Jace Wood, who scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Dom King, who scored 7 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, National Trail was able to grind out a solid win over New Miami on Saturday, taking the game 42-32.
Brookville's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for National Trail, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Everything came up roses for Brookville against National Trail when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 77-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brookville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
