Galena won the last time they faced Morrison and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pirates came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Galena was led to victory by Emma Ehrler and Zoe Blaum. Ehrler had five digs and one block, while Blaum had six digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Blaum a new career-high.

Galena's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Morrison, they dropped their record down to 2-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Galena and Morrison will both be playing Riverdale the next time they take the court. The Pirates will host the Rams at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
