Harlan was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in 1A District 6. The Green Dragons beat Jenkins 56-0 earlier in the week.
Hazard extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Pineville, 28-22. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Bulldogs.
Harlan's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ty Saragas threw for 299 and three touchdowns and Eric Young had 118 yards receiving. On the ground Cody Logan chipped in 106 yards. David Allen helped Harlan's passing attack out by catching three balls for 65 yards.
Harlan's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Green Dragons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Saragas has thrown for 1526 yards and 19 touchdowns this season, while Allen has 31 catches for 559 yards. Logan leads the league in rushing with 655 yards.
Hazard and the Mountain Lions played the most hotly contested game in 1A District 6 this week, with Hazard eventually emerging with a 28-22 victory.
