The Guilford Grizzlies are taking a road trip to face off against the North Haven Nighthawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Guilford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Guilford made easy work of Sheehan and carried off a 10-3 victory. That's two games straight that the Grizzlies have won by exactly seven runs.

Sarah O'Brien made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Guilford let Peton Lemay and Ella Munson run wild. Lemay went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Munson got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Munson has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Kennadie Tansey, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, North Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 6-0 to Mercy.
The win made it two in a row for Guilford and bumps their season record up to 10-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for North Haven, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Guilford hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like North Haven struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Guilford was able to grind out a solid win over North Haven in their previous meeting back in April, winning 10-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
