Biddeford is a perfect 9-0 against Marshwood since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Biddeford put up the most runs they have all season on Tuesday. They blew past Noble 16-1. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Madi Roy was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Corinne Ramunno and Ayla Lagasse did most of the damage at the plate: Ramunno went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Lagasse went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs Ramunno has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maddie Blais, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one double.
Biddeford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Marshwood ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against Scarborough by a score of 10-6. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by exactly four runs.
Emily Hester spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 20 Ks.
On the hitting side, Keira Keaveny was a standout: she went 4-for-6 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Dorthy Ryan was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Biddeford pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.9 runs over those games. As for Marshwood, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Marshwood's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Biddeford has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Marshwood, though, as they've been averaging 9 hits. Given Biddeford's sizable advantage in that area, the Hawks will need to find a way to close that gap.
Biddeford took their victory against Marshwood when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-6 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
