Given Putnam County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Rutland is ranked 238th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Landon Bonner was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with eight rebounds. The game was his 11th in a row with at least ten points. Jmari Greene was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Putnam County and bumps their season record up to 10-2. As for Rutland, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
