St. Paul's Episcopal scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 78-77 to the West Florida Jaguars. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Saints came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 130th in Alabama, while the Jaguars are ranked 525th in Florida).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Florida to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jakobe Fairley, who went 6 of 11 en route to 21 points along with eight assists and five boards. Those 21 points gave Fairley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Frank Likely, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds.

St. Paul's Episcopal is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7. As for West Florida, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.
