Even though the Grulla Gators have not done well against the San Perlita Trojans recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Grulla skirted past San Perlita 41-38. The win made it back-to-back wins for Grulla.
Grulla can attribute much of their success to Marbella Orduno, who scored 14 points along with 9 steals and 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ailani Lopez, who scored 14 points along with 9 steals and 8 rebounds.
Grulla is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for San Perlita, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Grulla will be playing in front of their home fans against Mission Veterans Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Perlita, they will square off against Harvest Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harvest Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
