Whitwell had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Grundy County on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Yellowjackets an 11-0 shutout. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Whitwell let Kendal Holtcamp and Lillian Ray run wild. Holtcamp went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Ray went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Ray has posted since back in March. Ella Layne was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
