The Oakfield-Alabama Hornets were the 42-19 winner over the Wilson Lakemen when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Oakfield-Alabama fell to Wilson 37-32.
Wilson can attribute much of their success to Peyton McInnis, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was McInnis' third in a row with at least ten points.
Oakfield-Alabama's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-1. As for Wilson, they pushed their record up to 1-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Oakfield-Alabama will head out on the road to face off against Attica at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilson, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lockport at 5:00 p.m.
