The South Pointe Christian Patriots had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Maranatha Christian 58-31 at home. 58 seems to be a good number for South Pointe Christian as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Logan Price was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Price, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
South Pointe Christian now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Maranatha Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
South Pointe Christian will be playing at home against the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Calvary Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Maranatha Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Saints at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th.
