Baseball Recap: Northern Nash Extends Winning Streak to Three

Northern Nash won against Nash Central last Thursday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Northern Nash Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Franklinton Red Rams, sneaking past 8-7. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered an 8-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Tristan Murray was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 1-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andrew Taylor, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The victory was the third in a row for Northern Nash, bringing their record for this year to 3-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Franklinton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Northern Nash will square off against Southern Nash at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northern Nash is facing Southern Nash at the right time seeing as Southern Nash is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Franklinton, they will challenge Rocky Mount at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
