On Thursday, Hitchcock-Tulare beat Kadoka 57-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hitchcock-Tulare.
Kadoka's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gus Stout, who scored 21 points. Stout scored a full 42.9% of Kadoka's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Garrett Hermann, who scored 13 points.
The victory got Hitchcock-Tulare back to even at 2-2. As for Kadoka, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hitchcock-Tulare is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Iroquois/Lake Preston at 8:00 p.m. on January 2nd. Iroquois/Lake Preston is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Kadoka, they will head out on the road to face off against White River at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. White River presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kadoka in South Dakota (White River is ranked seventh, while Kadoka is ranked 124th).
