This season hasn't been kind to the University Christian Barracudas, who are still winless after their seventh contest. They were outmatched by Nebo Crossing Academy on the road and fell 51-20. University Christian lost against Nebo Crossing Academy in their previous head to head back in January of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-37 score last time.
Despite the defeat, University Christian saw an underclassman step up: Jamison Hackney scored nine points.
Morgan Baker was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with six steals and five rebounds for Nebo Crossing Academy. The game was Baker's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Isaac Grubbs was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five assists and five rebounds.
University Christian's loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Nebo Crossing Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
University Christian will head out on the road to face off against Salem Baptist Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Salem Baptist Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Nebo Crossing Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Community Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m.
