Deep Creek had to suffer through a rough 48-7 loss at the hands of King's Fork. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Deep Creek in their matchups with King's Fork: they've now lost five in a row.
Brock Hoffman threw for 123 yards and a touchdown. Alford L. gill was his top target, picking up 60 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Hunter Barnes gained 101 total yards.
Deep Creek now has a losing record at 4-5. As for King's Fork, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Deep Creek will head out on the road to face off against Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeland comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last nine games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for King's Fork, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hickory at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hickory is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
