D West recap November 13, 2013
Dirigo scored a shocking upset when it eliminated Winthrop, 22-20. At the time, the Ramblers were ranked 13th in the state, while the Cougars were 33rd.
Oak Hill extended the longest winning streak in D West this week by beating Lisbon, 21-20. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Raiders.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Oak Hill takes on Dirigo. At the moment, Stacen Doucette's team is in second, while the Cougars are in third.
Dirigo made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,722 from 7,736. The improvement was largely due to a 22-20 victory over Winthrop last week.
