Mountain Island Charter is a perfect 9-0 against Langtree Charter Academy since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Raptors are taking a road trip to take on the Lions at 5:00 p.m. Mountain Island Charter's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

While losing is never fun, Mountain Island Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Pine Lake Prep are ranked 19th).

Meanwhile, Langtree Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against Christ the King, falling 9-0.

Langtree Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Mountain Island Charter, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 9-5.

Mountain Island Charter took their win against Langtree Charter Academy in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raptors since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
