Meanwhile, Elkhart Christian Academy fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Wawasee on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Warriors 65-61. Elkhart Christian Academy's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Elkhart Christian Academy might have lost, but man, Aiden Hibbard was a machine: he shot 5-for-11 from long range and almost dropped a triple-double on 27 points, ten rebounds, and nine assists. That was a full 44.3% of Elkhart Christian Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was LJ Bevier, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Elkhart Christian Academy were working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Fairfield is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
