Gage Davis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
In other batting news, Logan Vaniddekinge and Josiah Rodriguez did most of the damage at the plate: Vaniddekinge went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Rodriguez got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Vaniddekinge has posted since back in March. Gavin Bohl was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Dayspring Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rocky Mountain Lutheran only posted an OBP of .176.
Meanwhile, Clear Creek came up short against SkyView Academy on Monday and fell 9-5. The Golddiggers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Anthony Zacharias was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
