Baseball Recap: Wellsboro Wins Going Away Against Addison

While Wellsboro put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Addison. The Hornets were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Knights. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by ten runs or more this season.

Cameron Owlett was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Wellsboro: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 8-9 otherwise. Coen Tennis was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Wellsboro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in six consecutive games.

Wellsboro is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Addison, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Wellsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Addison, they will welcome Alfred-Almond at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
