Velasquez is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Meanwhile, Liberty Tree Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Pikes Peak Christian, falling 70-32. Liberty Tree Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-17.
Colorado Springs Christian's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-13. As for Liberty Tree Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
