Belvidere North is 8-2 against Freeport since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. That's the fewest  hits  she has allowed since back in April. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Quinn Krzeminiski made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  double and one  RBI.
 Belvidere North's win was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 17-9. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Freeport, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.
