The East Webster Wolverines won against the Mooreville Troopers last Thursday with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. East Webster blew past Mooreville 42-14 at home. The result was nothing new for East Webster, who have now won six matches by 28 points or more so far this season.
Briceton Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 97 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. R T Moye was another key contributor, rushing for 110 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Although Mooreville took the loss, they still got scores from Eli Hussey and Mason Gillentine.
The win was the third in a row for East Webster, bringing their record for this year to 7-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29 points. As for Mooreville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Webster will square off against Nettleton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Nettleton is ranked 70th, while East Webster is ranked 74th). As for Mooreville, they will head out on the road to face off against Aberdeen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
