Emery and Juab are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Wasps at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Emery's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Juab has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Emery got the win against Richfield by a conclusive 10-1. Considering the Spartans have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kallee Lake spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Katelyn Nielson, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Elly Stilson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.
Juab not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 7th. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over Delta. With that win, the Wasps brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Bailee Benson made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other pitching news, Sienna Soper looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Livia Topham was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Jaleigh Burton was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Juab was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Delta only posted a batting average of .161.
Juab's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Emery, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Emery has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Juab struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Emery took their victory against Juab when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-2 score. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Wasps have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
