The Lake Worth Trojans suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 45-10 loss at the hands of Olympic Heights. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lake Worth has scored all season.
Lake Worth's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jocilynne Sweeney, who scored no points along with four steals. Sweeney is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Milan Smith was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds.
Lake Worth bumped their record down to 3-6 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.4 points per game. As for Olympic Heights, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
