Basketball Recap: Prescott Piles Up the Points Against Coconino

Prescott won the last time they faced Coconino and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Prescott Badgers blew past the Coconino Panthers 70-32. The Badgers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Prescott was led to victory by Addie Prisciandaro and Bella Abt. Prisciandaro went 10 for 18 en route to 24 points and three steals, while Abt went 9 of 15 on her way to 21 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Abt's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kylee Murdock, who posted eight points.

Prescott smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 14 consecutive contests.

Prescott is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Coconino, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Prescott didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-32 win against Bradshaw Mountain on the 30th. Coconino has also already played their next game (against Mohave), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
