The Columbus North Bull Dogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bloomington North. Columbus North was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bloomington North apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Several Bull Dogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Olivia Johnson, who scored 11 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Johnson, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Columbus North bumped their record down to 10-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Bloomington North, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.
Columbus North will head out on the road to take on Rushville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bloomington North, they will be playing at home against Edgewood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Edgewood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Bloomington North is ranked 79th).
