Booker T. Washington is 9-0 against the Tigers since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Booker T. Washington Warriors will get right back to it and host the Manassas Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Booker T. Washington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Monday.
On Monday, Booker T. Washington beat the Phoenix 51-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Booker T. Washington.
Booker T. Washington can attribute much of their success to Zoey Townes, who scored 13 points along with two steals, and Malia Johnson, who scored 13 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Townes has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Antaniya Britt, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Manassas, who are still winless after their ninth matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 54-18 loss at the hands of Middle College. While losing is never fun, Manassas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 122nd).
Booker T. Washington has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Manassas, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.
Everything came up roses for Booker T. Washington against the Tigers in their previous meeting two weeks ago as the team secured a 53-13 victory. Will Booker T. Washington repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
