The Florida Prep Falcons had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were outmatched by Altamonte Christian on the road and fell 87-4. Florida Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 67-2.
Altamonte Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kayleigh Cooper out in front who scored 13 points along with 8 steals and 5 assists. Cooper is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Alexis Hill was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 8 steals and 5 rebounds.
Florida Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Altamonte Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Florida Prep will take on West Melbourne Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Altamonte Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Celebration at 6:00 p.m.
