 Walter Johnson's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Kendall Alexander, who  posted 12  points, and   Gabby Buggs, who  scored ten points. Those ten  points gave  Buggs a new career-high.
 Meanwhile,  after soaring to 60  points the game before, Wootton was a bit more limited  in their  game  two weeks ago. They had to suffer through a   57-25 loss at the hands of Churchill. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings  (they are ranked 90th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 16th).
 Wootton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Walter Johnson, their win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 7-1.
